Nauna nang sinabi ng Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) na patuloy nilang pinag-aaralan ang kasalukuyang settings sa minimum wage matapos maghain ng ilang wage hike petitions bago sumapit ang Labor Day.
Alinsunod sa batas, natatangi ang Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) sa bawat rehiyon ang may awtoridad na mag-adjust ng sahod at pagkatapos ng 12 buwan sa huling pagtaas na nangyari noonf Nobyembre 2018.
“Under the proposed measures, it covers all non-government rank and file employees regardless of their employment status, designation and irrespective of the method by which their wages are paid provided that they have worked at least one month during the calendar year,” paliwanag ni Sotto. [...]
