Flights of Fancy eBook Excerpt: Little Pied Flycatcher Spotted in Maligcong

Tiny but eye-catching with its pied (black and white) contrasting colors, I first saw (or maybe, noticed is the right word) this Little Pied Flycatcher (Ficedula westermanni) when I espied the noisy Eurasian Tree Sparrows chattering noisily while looking for food in the garden of Suzette's Maligcong Homestay.  It was solitary but surely held its own, foraging for food among the chili pepper plants and guava tree, not minding the presence of the bigger birds.  Hope it finds a mate though so it may decide to stay here. | © 2019 Oggie Ramos | Taken with a Nikon B700, Handheld, Manual Mode
