Former Senator Antonio Trillanes IV came to the defense of people found outside their homes during the Luzon-wide lockdown.
Trillanes has asked for a little understanding for people not observing the home quarantine, saying they should not be instantly branded as “pasaway.” He said these people could be on their way to work or even homeless.
Sa lansangan sila nktira,” he tweeted.
“Bottomline, wg kyo mainis agad sknila,” he added.
President Duterte has railed against people violating the quarantine rules, saying they should show discipline or else he will be forced to declare a martial law-like lockdown. The military and police will be asked to take over the lockdown implementation if people will continue to ignore the quarantine rules, Duterte said.
