PH, China seek corruption-free Belt and Road projects, Locsin says

Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr. has pushed for corruption-free projects involving the Philippines and China.

Locsin, who is part of President Duterte’s delegation to Beijing, China, said he pressed for a “clean” Belt and Road initiative between the two countries.

“Another agreement is A CLEAN BELT & ROAD INITIATIVE between CHN and PH anticorruption bodies to prevent and punish corruption in BRI projects. I brought it up in my official visit that the only thing that can go wrong with BRI is local officials looking to make money,” he tweeted.
