Ong was seen holding an umbrella while attending to the medical emergency on the road under intense heat.
Reacting to the photo posted online by a netizen, Ong explained that the victim had to wait for more than an hour for the ambulance which got stuck in traffic. He said he could not move the woman because she complained of chest and back pains.
His wife Doc Liza attended to the motorcycle driver who was also hurt in the accident.
“Latest Update: Buhay ang 2 biktima. Hindi paralyzed. Kailangan lang operahan dahil sa nag-ipon na dugo sa baga. Multiple fractures ng buto sa dibdib. Problema: Hindi naka-hulog ng regular sa PhilHealth kaya may babayaran pa na malaki sa public ospital… Kami na bahala muna. God’s will na ito eh. Umiiyak ang babae sa ospital dahil sa pasasalamat,” he said in a Facebook post.
