Noel Cabangon wishes Freddie Aguilar didn’t run for senator: ‘Di siya bagay sa Senado!

Singer and songwriter Noel Cabangon is cool about the candidacy of fellow artist Freddie Aguilar for senator.

In an exclusive interview with the tabloid Abante, Cabangon said Aguilar doesn’t fit the bill for a lawmaker.

“Sana di na lang siya tumakbo kasi di siya bagay dun,” he said.

Aguilar’s candidacy has been endorsed by President Rodrigo Duterte, who said he’s capable of promoting and protecting culture at the Senate.

The folk singer is known for the hits “Anak,” “Magdalena” and “Estudyante Blues.”
