Birding is all about taking a chance, and this Elegant Tit (Periparus elegans) is a prime example of that expression. The garden at Suzette's Maligcong Homestay has a resident Little Pied Flycatcher which is black and white in color. Having been accustomed to seeing the tiny monochromatic bird sharing feeding space with the babblers and sunbirds, I thought I was seeing more sunbirds until I realized that this particular one isn't a sunbird. With the guava, papaya and avocado trees fruiting, it's a joy to see a merry mix of birds coming and going at all hours of the daylight, trying to get a fill of fruit, and perhaps an insect or two. | © 2019 Oggie Ramos | Taken with a Nikon B700, Handheld, Manual Mode
