Some 600 tourists aboard the Seabourn Ovation cruise ship visited and enjoyed the Hundred Islands National Park (HINP) here on Wednesday.
HINP cruise ship coordinator Rey Livara said the tourists were composed of Americans, Canadians, British, and Filipino crew members of the cruise ship.
“They swim in the clean waters of HINP. They did snorkeling and island tours,” Livara said in an interview on Thursday.
He added that the cruise ship came from Hong Kong before it proceeded to HINP. It was to sail for Manila and Puerto Prinsesa and Coron in Palawan, before it will travel to Malaysia then Singapore.
Seabourn Ovation is the first cruise ship that made its stop at HINP this year.
The last one to visit the famous park last December 3 was the Star Legend cruise ship, which docked with 201 passengers.
“We are expecting more cruise ships to visit HINP this year. The next one will come on March 3,” Livara said. (PNA)
