Otso Diretso senatorial candidate Florin Hilbay has commended the country’s policemen performing their job but bewailed the collateral damage in the war on illegal drugs.
The former Solicitor General made the comment to dispute former police chief Bato dela Rosa’s claim the drug war has been successful during a television debate.
“Saludo ako sa kapulisan na ginawa nang tama ang kanilang trabaho. Pero, kaninong hanay ba mas maraming pagkamatay na walang hustisya at mas maraming nilibing na mahal sa buhay?” he tweeted.
“Mahihirap. Kasi collateral damage. Sila lang ang kaya niyong patayin,” he added.
