Mallari ejected after altercation with Ganuelas-Rosser in Game 4

FOR the second straight game in the PBA Philippine Cup semis, Phoenix was without one of its key players off the bench come the second half as Alex Mallari was ejected in Game 4 on Tuesday night.

The big Fil-Am guard was thrown out with 2:22 left in the second period after incurring consecutive technical fouls and San Miguel holding to a 48-41 lead.

Mallari got his first 'T' for second motion during a lull in action following what appeared to be a slight nudge by Alex Cabagnot on RJ Jazul that caused the Phoenix guard to fall down on the Astrodome floor.

The night was over for Mallari soon after when he was whistled for another technical foul following a verbal altercation with Matt Ganuelas Rosser.

Mallari and Ganuelas Rosser had already been going at each other as early as Game 2 of the series.

Mallari had three points and three rebounds by the time he was ejected.

Cabagnot sank the technical free throw that made it a nine-point San Miguel lead.

The Beermen held a 59-48 edge at the break.

The Fuel Masters also lost big man Dave Marcelo in the opening half of Game 3 when he committed a flagrant foul penalty 2 on Christian Standhardinger for an outright ejection.

Phoenix went on to win that game, 92-90.
